Lynn’s Recollections and Reflections #20 – Why Am I Writing This?

Why am I Writing This?

Some of you may be wondering why I’m so openly sharing my life with the world.

Originally it was because I wanted my kids to know my story and their kids and so on. I wish I knew more about my parent’s lives and their parent’s lives.

Some of the things that I know are the recollections of others. That is why I call this a work of fiction as it relates to others.

On my blog Living Large in A Small House, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means a small commission is earned if you make a purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link. You can find my full Disclosure Policy HERE

Things Have Changed

My reasoning for writing this has changed. As I’ve been putting this out into the world I’ve been getting emails, DMs, comments, and even letters in the mail, that have not changed but added to the reasons why I’m writing about my life.

People are reaching out to me and thanking me for giving them the courage to change their own situations.

Others are telling me that they feel heard and not so alone.

If this helps just one person to get out of an abusive situation then I’ve done an even greater thing than writing about my life for my kids.

Helpful Resources

I was recently sent by a follower, a link to a resource for anyone who might be in a situation and need help.

I’m so glad that it was shared with me and I will be putting it into all of the posts both past and going forward.

There is help and people who know what they are doing is a much better resource than me.

There are also resources in your state or even in your town or a town near you. There is help available!

I hope that if you or someone you know needs help getting out of an abusive situation, you will take the first step.
