I’ve used several different companies to host my blog and by far the very best is Big Scoots! Their customer service is amazing.

I use Link Whisper to find all the backlinks I need for my blog posts. It saves me time and finds links I didn’t even remember should be linked to my post

To make sure that photography is optimized so that it’s still beautiful for you but doesn’t slow down my site, I use ShortPixel

I use WP RecipeMaker for my recipe cards. It syncs beautifully with FoodTalk and I’m able to add a Yummly pin and an Instacart Link for the ingredients. I use the Pro Version.
