Latest From Living Large: What Christmas Looks Like at Our House

We have had a very interesting holiday season at our house. My Christmas decorations which are usually up in early October are still being tweaked.

We celebrated Christmas and our Grandson’s 2nd Birthday last weekend as the Dallas crew was in town for our annual Potato Sausage event. It was a very busy weekend.

What’s Been Happening This Week

Besides celebrating Christmas and Birthday this past Saturday, we made 70 lbs of potato sausage with my brother and his family, which was so much fun. I think there were 20 people in our house last Sunday. I’ll share with you soon what “Handy” did with the outdoor living room to make it more of a “3-season room” and we were able to use that space even when the temperatures outside were in the low teens.

The last of our company left on Wednesday afternoon, and I’ve been doing laundry non-stop. I’ve also been doing a lot of cleaning and organizing since everyone left.

On the blog, I have some last minute gift ideas for him and her. I also have some ideas it you’re going to have a quiet little Christmas like us.

What I’m Up to Next Week

We will be having a very quiet Christmas this year. On Christmas Eve we are having our good friends (old next door neighbors) over for dinner. We are going to make a seafood dinner and then play games in front of the fire.

Christmas Day will just be Keith, me and Emma hanging out in our jammies all day. Again we will have a fire and probably start a jigsaw puzzle while we watch our favorite Christmas Movies.

A cozy living room with a lit fireplace, decorated for Christmas with garlands, stockings, and poinsettias. Above the mantel is a painting of Santa carrying a tree in a snowy forest—Our House truly captures the magic of the season.

Good News I Want to Share

I’m taking some time off until the new year, however next week I will be sharing a fun offering I have for you my loyal followers. I’m anxious to share it with you along with a recap of 2025.

If you celebrated Hanukah, I hope you had a good time. If you are celebrating Christmas, I wish for you, peace on earth and good will to everyone. If the time is just a winter break for you – enjoy!

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
