Saturday Shopping: Holiday Kitchen Essentials
Every Saturday I share a few favorite finds—pieces I love, use, or would genuinely bring into my own home. From cozy decor to practical everyday tools, these are the things catching my eye this week.

On my blog Living Large in A Small House, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means a small commission is earned if you purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link. You can find my full Disclosure Policy HERE
What’s in Your Kitchen
This is the time of year when I take stock of what I need in my kitchen for holiday cooking. There are things that I definitely need to upgrade or add to my kitchen cooking arsenal.
My Favorite Things
- My cutting boards are a mess, so I threw out all the mismatched, stained plastic cutting boards and bought two sets of these from Target. You just can’t beat the price.
- I’m not a baker, but my daughter Annie is. Now that she lives back near us, I’m hoping she can coordinate a cookie exchange. I’m happy to host it and let her use my Kitchenaid mixer.
- These baking sheets get a workout in my kitchen. I use them with parchment paper for so many things: chicken nuggets, french fries, roasting vegetables, and so much more.
Some Fun Tablescape Ideas for the Holidays
- The Woodland Tablescape that I created for Christmas one year could easily be Thanksgiving, Christmas, or a fun fall dinner party.
- I had an outdoor fall dinner party a few years ago, and this tablescape could easily be recreated for Thanksgiving.
- This birthday tablescape could easily become a Christmas dinner table with a few tweaks.
If you purchased something from one of my links, thank you very much. You’re able to buy the item at the same price as you would without using my link, and I make a little commission on the sale. It helps to support my work on Living Large in A Small House. I appreciate you very much!

A peek into my life
Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections
I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.
It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.
It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
