Latest From Living: Big Changes Coming

I’ve been hoping for some time to be able to say this. Our daughter Annie, her husband Tommy, and our grandson Harrison are moving back to Illinois.

We are both excited and a little nervous! It’s going to happen fast! I’ll lay out what we will be doing below in what’s coming this week!

A glossy white ceramic bunny figurine sits upright on a white shelf, with droopy ears and a small bunny on its head—a charming touch for any Spring Home Tour. A lamp, green lettuce, and wooden cutting boards accent the kitchen in the background.

What’s Been Happening This Week

This week was a very interesting week. On the blog I only worked on my Spring House Tour, which will drop tomorrow, Monday, March 16th. Keith finished the project in the kitchen, which I will be sharing in its entirety tomorrow on the tour post.

After it was done, I had the fun job of styling it and putting away the things we had moved from the former space. I created a really fun spring tablescape, a mantlescape and dressed the house up for spring/Easter. I photographed and created a video of the entire space.

In between, we have been organizing our lives around moving the kids back home.

What I’m Up to Next Week

First of all, don’t forget to check back on the blog to see the 2026 Spring Home Tour!

I’m going to leave for Dallas on Tuesday right after I vote. I’m not going to stop in Kansas City, but I will take two days to travel. That 14-hour straight drive is tough. Keith will fly down at the end of my stay, and we will drive home together with my car filled.

The reality is that our home will be an Airbnb for the little family for some time, as they don’t have an apartment situation nailed down yet. Things happened really fast, and apartments are snatched up quickly in the city. Wisely, they are going to rent for one year until they are sure about where they want to live.

The reality for me is that I probably won’t be posting regularly and have to get used to a new normal for our family.

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
