Saturday Shopping: Cozy Kitchen Essentials for Soup Season

Every Saturday I share a few favorite finds—pieces I love, use, or would genuinely bring into my own home. From cozy decor to practical everyday tools, these are the things catching my eye this week.

This Week’s Favorite Finds

The leaves are coming down along the river, the garden is nearly put to bed, and my favorite pot is back on the stove. Around here, cool weather means soup season. While I wish Handy loved soup so that I could make it for dinner, he just doesn’t. I make a big batch on a Sunday afternoon and then I freeze it in individual sizes for me for lunch. These are the kitchen pieces I reach for again and again in the fall and winter.

Why I Love All of These Pieces

  • Everything on my list is available at Target and reasonably priced.
  • My favorite piece is the Dutch oven, as it’s pretty enough to keep on the top of your stove all year long.
  • I recently threw out some plastic cutting boards that had seen better days. I love this 3-piece set for $12.00. I bought two sets.

Some Cozy Fall Recipes

A blue background with hand-drawn elements sets the stage. A heart symbol flanked by two lines adds charm, while the text "Lynn xoxo" in cursive whispers a promise to make food prep easier and more delightful.

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
