Latest At Living Large – 4/13/2025

I wake up in the morning and I have 10 or 20 things on my to-do list along with another few things on my mind that I need to get done. And then there are those mundane things that I don’t have on the list but also need to be handled daily. Make the bed, do the dishes, take out chicken from the freezer for dinner, throw in a load of laundry. I’m sure you know what I’m talking about.

I have total confidence after I have my cup of coffee that I’ll tackle them all. But the reality is I’m lucky if 3 or 4 of the things on my list are accomplished. I used to get upset with myself. Now I just am glad that these old knees and hips are able to get done what I did. I’m lucky to still around and in relatively good health to do them! For that I am grateful.

My head thinks I’m still 35 but my body reminds me differently 🙂

This Week’s Events

  • I am almost done with the laundry from a week of company (two weeks ago)
  • I moved the furniture around in my office because I wanted by desk to be under a window in the room. I’m still working on getting everything right.
  • “Handy” finished putting the new hardware on our kitchen cabinets – you can read about that below.
  • I’ve started my deer deterrent routine because my tulips are starting to pop up and they love those bulbs. You can see what I do HERE.

Things That I Found Interesting This Week

  • I ordered a Hungryroot Box (no I’m not being sponsored by them or compensated in anyway). I did it because I’m trying to eat healthier and “Handy” and healthy eating don’t go together very well. I bought it for making healthy breakfasts and lunches and I even made one of the meals for dinner and he surprisingly liked it. I found that the portions are mostly 2 so I can spread it out over 2 days. A one week box is lasting me at least 2 weeks.
  • I also started exercising. I’m using an app that is so far easy enough for me use. I’ve done it everyday for the last week and that’s saying something for me. It’s called WalkFit (Again, I’m not being sponsored or compensated in anyway.)
  • I love “Hacks” with Jean Smart (Designing Women) and Season 4 started this week.

Hope you had a great week! See you next Sunday!

Peace & Love,

A blue background with hand-drawn elements sets the stage. A heart symbol flanked by two lines adds charm, while the text "Lynn xoxo" in cursive whispers a promise to make food prep easier and more delightful.

About the elderly woman: With long gray hair and glasses, she wears a white knit sweater and hoop earrings, her gentle smile radiates warmth against the plain light gray background.
