Saturday Shopping: Summer Fun

Every Saturday I share a few favorite finds—pieces I love, use, or would genuinely bring into my own home. From cozy decor to practical everyday tools, these are the things catching my eye this week.

Fireworks light up the evening sky over a lake, while boats and shopping lights shimmer at sunset.

This Week’s Favorite Finds

We have been doing a lot of boating ever since Annie and Tommy moved back to the area. It’s a fun activity for Harrison. He loves being on the boat. He likes playing in the sand at a little beach where we anchor our boat.

What I Keep On Hand for Summer Fun

  • Our beach towels are so old and fraying. It was time to upgrade them.
  • Having a beach bag that’s packed and ready to go has made boating an easier adventure
  • We always pack a cooler with drinks and snacks, sometimes lunch when we are making a day of it.
  • Of course we have to be careful of our skin when we are out in the sun. We also do our best to ward off the mosquitos that are a big part of summer in Illinois.

A blue background with hand-drawn elements sets the stage. A heart symbol flanked by two lines adds charm, while the text "Lynn xoxo" in cursive whispers a promise to make food prep easier and more delightful.

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
