Saturday Shopping: Summer Fun
Every Saturday I share a few favorite finds—pieces I love, use, or would genuinely bring into my own home. From cozy decor to practical everyday tools, these are the things catching my eye this week.

On my blog Living Large in A Small House, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means a small commission is earned if you purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link. You can find my full Disclosure Policy HERE
This Week’s Favorite Finds
We have been doing a lot of boating ever since Annie and Tommy moved back to the area. It’s a fun activity for Harrison. He loves being on the boat. He likes playing in the sand at a little beach where we anchor our boat.
What I Keep On Hand for Summer Fun
- Our beach towels are so old and fraying. It was time to upgrade them.
- Having a beach bag that’s packed and ready to go has made boating an easier adventure
- We always pack a cooler with drinks and snacks, sometimes lunch when we are making a day of it.
- Of course we have to be careful of our skin when we are out in the sun. We also do our best to ward off the mosquitos that are a big part of summer in Illinois.
More Summer Inspiration
- My summer living room fresh video on YouTube is doing really well!
- Planning an outdoor dinner with friends is always a part of our summer fun.
- Hard to believe but I’m already reading my note on Late Summer Gardening
- Summer is a great time to purge and donate or, better yet, have a garage sale.
If you purchased something from one of my links, thank you very much. You’re able to buy the item at the same price as you would without using my link, and I make a little commission on the sale. It helps to support my work on Living Large in A Small House. I appreciate you very much!

A peek into my life
Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections
I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.
It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.
It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
