Latest From Living Large: Good Times Anticipated

In just a few days two of my blogging buddies are coming to Illinois. My very long to-do lists are finally getting shorter. Some things just won’t get done because there is only so much time in a day! Luckily these are the kind of friends who won’t care one bit if everything isn’t perfect. We just like being in each other’s company.

What’s Been Happening This Week

I’ve had Harrison this whole week, which hasn’t allowed me to get much done. I’ve also put him in front of the TV more often than his mom and dad would like. Luckily for everyone, he finally starts daycare on 9/8.

We had to take Harry back to the city on Thursday for a doctor’s appointment. Then we went out to dinner at Naia. Probably one of the hottest places to eat in the city right now. This is where Tommy (our son-in-law) is a general manager. We had a table right on the water, and “Handy” enjoyed watching all the yachts pull up with more restaurant guests.

I headed home on the train late Friday afternoon with my to-do list in hand! It’s going to be a really busy, busy weekend!

What I’m Up to Next Week

I’ll be preparing for my friends Wendy and Michele to come visit my home. We are actually going to be at my house for a minute and then traveling to Michigan for the Found Cottage Mercantile Market. I’ve been there before, but it’s a first for the other girls. If you like vintage as much as we do, it needs to be on your bucket list.

The last time I saw Wendy in person was last October, and I think the last time I saw Michele was in April. We expect that we are going to have a really good time!

Good News I Want to Share

  • It was such sad news to hear about the passing of Dolly Parton. Did you know about her Imagination Library, which provides a book each month for children from birth through 5th grade?
  • If you like blueberries, you will eat them every day after reading this article.
  • This is just a really feel-good short story that you have to read.

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
