Latest At Living Large: Headed to California
I’m heading to California this week! It’s starting to feel like home is just a temporary place to rest my head in between travels.
Our wedding last week was beautiful. The weekend started with a dinner at a the “River Roast” restaurant overlooking the Chicago River. We had a private deck where we could watch the boats go by on a beautiful fall evening. On Saturday, the wedding at the Garfield Conservatory was just stunning. The venue was so unique and beautiful. We had the entire space to ourselves, so wandering around amongst all the beautiful greenery was so fun. Our little Harrison was the ring bearer and both of the girls were bridesmaids.
After the wedding, we spend a fun Sunday at home. We had time on the boat as well, and a hearty Sunday dinner. We roasted whole chickens on the grill and served it with mashed potatoes, stuffing, and veggies. After everyone left on Monday night, I started getting my house back in order. I should be completely done today 🤪

This Week’s Events
I’m headed to my friend and fellow blogger’s home in Southern California. Wendy from WMDesign House is hosting our Mastermind Group in her beautiful home in Sierra Madre, CA. I’m so excited to see my friends in person and spend the week learning.
Wendy’s contractor Mark is a Man of many talents. He talked to us about Champagnes in one of our Podcasts. You can hear it HERE. He is going to spend a little time with us during the week, which will be so much fun.

We are also visiting the flower market in LA again. I can’t wait. You can read about my last adventure there HERE.
I’m also going to also be visiting my son Kenny and his beautiful wife, Mila. I haven’t seen them since April. Since I was there, they have bought a house, and I’m excited to see it. I’m also going to bring my sourdough starter and teach them how to make sourdough bread!
Before I leave on Wednesday, I will be working on little sleep as I prep to be gone for two weeks.

I’m always anxious for the next upcoming season. Christmas is the Season where I work the hardest to make it magical. If you’re looking for some inspiration you can find it here.
Things That I Found Interesting This Week
While it seems harder and harder to find good news anymore, I’m always searching!
- This is a very sweet story about a Dad who wrote a letter to his daughter every day for years. He turned that love of writing into a “The Dad Letter Project” writing letters to strangers in need of a kind word. Read about it HERE.
- Many other countries ban cellphones in schools. Not surprising that the students got better grades. Read about the study HERE.
Behind the scenes
Hi, I’m Lynn
I traded corporate life for cozy living and now share how to make small spaces feel beautifully intentional.
With a love of vintage finds, organized chaos (emphasis on organized), and a handy husband who builds my wild ideas, I’m here to show that living large isn’t about square feet—it’s about heart, style, and good bones.

I can’t wait to see you! we are going to have so much fun and learn a ton.
One more sleep!
