Saturday Shopping: Time to Get Cozy
Every Saturday I share a few favorite finds—pieces I love, use, or would genuinely bring into my own home. From cozy decor to practical everyday tools, these are the things catching my eye this week.

This Week’s Favorite Finds
It’s still warm in Illinois, but some nights are cooling off, and autumn is in the air! I love this time of year. I also love to wear cozy clothes. The idea of hanging out in my jammies all day does seem appealing, but that’s impractical. Feeling cozy but put together at the same time is my goal for fall.
After losing 50+ pounds, I need to get some outfits that fit and I can mix and match without buying a ton of clothes.
I love Quince for its quality and price point. If you’ve never owned cashmere before, it’s time to treat yourself, as their prices for that luxury make it attainable. Walmart has also really stepped up their fashion game with both quality and style at the most affordable prices.
Why I Love These Pieces
- My jeans from Quince are the most comfortable jeans I’ve ever owned. They stretch so they never feel uncomfortable or stiff.
- A little button-down cashmere cardigan makes me feel special. I just love the one I have in light blue.
- As I mentioned before, Walmart has really stepped up their game. I have this jacket in my cart.
- I bought some boots similar to these last weekend at Walmart because it had rained all day before we went to the Mercantile Market. While they didn’t actually go with the cute dress I had on, they were practical for the wet, muddy fairgrounds. I can’t wait to wear them with jeans and sweats this fall and winter.
Inspiration for a Cozy Fall Home
- A Cozy Fall Home Tour Inspired by Midwest Autumns — This tour from 2017 is a blast from the past. So much has changed in my house.
- Another way back when—This post is a blog hop about fall entertaining! When I look at these old posts, it reminds me of how far I’ve come as a blogger.
- This is a great fall organizing post. September is a great time to get organized before the clutter of the holidays takes over.
If you purchased something from one of my links, thank you very much. You’re able to buy the item at the same price as you would without using my link, and I make a little commission on the sale. It helps to support my work on Living Large in A Small House. I appreciate you very much!

A peek into my life
Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections
I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.
It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.
It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
