Latest From Living Large: Something Scared Us

Happy November!

A spooky little lion came to our house yesterday and went trick-or-treating around our neighborhood. He didn’t want to go at first, but once he got the hang of it and saw his bag getting filled up with candy… he was thinking, “This is better than Grandma’s house”!

What’s Been Happening This Week

We had the best time celebrating an early Thanksgiving with our daughters last weekend. After cleaning up from that, the week was pretty uneventful until Thursday. I got 4 vaccines on Thursday afternoon at 1:00. I didn’t sleep very well that night but thought I was doing ok once I got up until around 1:00 on Friday afternoon, and then I hit a wall. Holy smokes, that shingles vaccine is no joke. However, having had shingles, I’d take a stiff arm and a day of feeling nasty over shingles any day.

Thank goodness I was back to my regular self on Saturday as Annie and Tommy brought Harrison to go trick-or-treating in our village. We took him around with the golf cart, and he had a really good time.

Today the fall decorations are getting packed away, and then Christmas will start to happen. I know, I know—it’s way too early. But here’s the deal. It takes me a long time to be fully decorated, and it’s my job to share my decorations with you so you can be inspired! At least that’s the hope.

Good News I Want to Share

  • My little grandson and his dad both suffer from psoriasis, and this article was very encouraging.
  • This is a personal good news to share story. My favorite Christmas movie, possibly my favorite movie of all time, is “The Holiday” and it’s coming back in theaters for its 25th anniversary. I’m hoping they are showing added footage, outtakes, etc. I can’t wait.
  • Finally, my feel-good story of the week made me cry—a happy cry!

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
