Latest From Living Large: Back to My Routine

We got home from Dallas late Monday night and I feel like I’ve finally got back into my routine. I do love routine!

Two white ceramic rabbit figurines sit on a shelf in front of an ornate gold-framed vintage family photograph. Below them are a blue and white plate, a green leafy plant, and the latest addition to your decorative collection.

What’s Been Happening This Week

There was the usual grocery shopping, cleaning, washing lots of clothes and catching up with my blog work. In addition this week I made a really fun dessert that I first dreamed up a few Christmases ago. It’s a Chocolate Mousse mets Tiramisu concoction. It’s sinfully good.

This Valentine’s Weekend our youngest Emma has joined us. I didn’t get to see her for birthday so we are celebrating with her this weekend! “Handy” and Emma helped me get my Spring/Easter decor out of the boat house as well as my seed starting racks.

What I’m Up to Next Week

This week I plan to start adding some of my Easter decor to the house. My Easter decor has evolved into mostly bunnies and natural spring decor that easily moves from early spring, through Easter and up until I decorate for the summer months.

I’m also going to set-up my seed starting station. The decision still hasn’t been made about keeping it in the house or putting it outside in the greenhouse. We’ve had a few warm days and it’s making me lean towards putting it in the new greenhouse. That being said, I know this is very unusual weather for February. I doubt I’ll enjoy trudging through the snow (which will undoubtably happen) to water my seedlings each day.

I can’t remember if I shared with you that we are going to start a new flock of chickens this spring. We lost the last of our older girls this past fall so we are getting babies in late March/early April. I’m pretty excited about this!

Good News I Want to Share

  • South Korean Scientists have developed a fast-acting spray that almost instantly stops excessive bleeding in wounds caused in disasters or wars. It can also be applied in emergency hospital procedures.
  • While other places go all-out on decorations at Christmas and Halloween, one village in Britain called Lover pretty much owns Valentine’s Day. Dubbed the world’s most romantic village, it has drawn visitors from across the UK to send Valentine’s Day cards with a special postmark. Who knew?
  • Did you know that the human heart beats approximately 100,000 times each day? Or that competitive art was once a sport in the Olympics? And those little specs on strawberries? Well, there’s a specific name for them. If you’d like to know what it is, you’re simply going to have to read this ARTICLE to find out.

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
