Latest From Living Large: On the Move
Just when the middle child is settled, the youngest is moving. She has lived in the same apartment in the City of Chicago for three years. She and her college friend and roommate Spencer both wanted new adventures. Spencer wants to live on her own, and Emma is going to move to a different part of the city and share her new apartment with her college friend Britton, who is moving from NYC to Chicago.

What’s Been Happening This Week
I had a very productive week, workwise. I’m sharing my summer decor with you this week. I’ve made a schedule for my next project and can’t wait to start. Actually, I have two new projects to work on, and I don’t know which one I’m more excited about—more to come!
We spent Saturday downtown helping with the move and will be back next week on the 30th for the furniture move. When I say “I” helped with the move, what I really mean is I watched Harrison so Annie could go help, and “Handy” did most of the heavy lifting.

What I’m Up to Next Week
Starting on the two projects that I’m so excited about. I will have to do a little of both every day because I’m equally anxious to get both of them done. We had a lot of rain this past week, so I’m hoping to get my (at least) hour in the garden every day.
Speaking of gardens, the flooding, while not at all convenient, has left my soil in such great condition. My plants are doing fabulously, but so are the weeds. I have a lot of work to do in the gardens.
Once we have Emma fully moved, it will be nice to settle into a new normal for our family. I’m excited to spend the summer puttering in my gardens, spending time on the boat with the family, and making great memories with family and friends in the backyard!

Good News I Want to Share
- How in the world can a giraffe go missing for two weeks without someone seeing them? Well, Gracie the giraffe did just that in Texas. It’s quite a story.
- Did you see what happened in Kansas City ahead of the Netherlands vs. Tunisia FIFA World Cup 2026 match at Kansas City Stadium? I think it’s soccer that we need to bring us all together.
- I loved this story of Howard, who picks out random graves and does research on their families. He then tells the extraordinary stories of ordinary lives.

A peek into my life
Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections
I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.
It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.
It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
