Latest From Living Large: Chasing Summer

I can’t believe it’s already the summer solstice today! I’m still working on my gardens since losing quite a bit in the flood. But that is foundational work that I can enjoy for years to come.

My little buddy is finally settled into his home and Grandma is getting her house back in order. I’m a creature of habit and getting back into my routine is calming and satisfying for me.

What’s Been Happening This Week

My house got cleaned from top to bottom and I started switching my home from winter/spring to summer. I will be sharing it with you soon. I published a post that I’ve been thinking about and working on for some time. Its a guidebook of sorts to decorating in a small house.

I also prepared lemon chicken this week and republished my recipe. Its one of our favorites. It’s such an easy dinner and so yummy!

Today we are celebrating “Handy” with his favorite meal: Crab Legs. We had wanted to go out on the boat but the weather probably won’t cooperate. If you are celebrating the day — I hope you have a great one! If you’re not celebrating, I still hope that your having the best day.

What I’m Up to Next Week

I have a few goals for the upcoming week:

Good News I Want to Share

  • I haven’t seen a feel good story like this is a while. It just proves to me and makes my heart sing that there are good people trying to make a difference. I’ve started following this young man who owns SB Mowing on YouTube.
  • Dutch children are declared the most happy in the world. Find out why HERE.
  • What I’m reading: “Finlay Donavon Is Killing It” by Elle Cosimano. It’s a pretty cute read. It’s the first book in a humorous mystery series about a single mom and struggling novelist who is mistaken for a contract killer after a case of mistaken identity, leading her to accidentally take on a real-life murder plot to make ends meet.

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
