Latest From Living Large: Another Busy Week

While it’s still technically spring, we have had weather in the high 80s. The beauty is it’s not been humid yet; there have been great breezes, and I also haven’t noticed any mosquitos. We did get a lot of rain on Friday night, and we needed it. It all seems so odd given we were surrounded by water not so long ago.

The chicken coop and the gardens need so much attention, and so I’m very thankful for the great weather.

Small green seedlings with oval leaves are growing in dark soil, surrounded by straw and the latest black irrigation tubing. Sunlight creates shadows across the young plants.

What’s Been Happening This Week

We had Harrison most of the week, so the gardening I was able to get done during the day was minimal. My dreams of him working beside me in his cute little gardening apron were exactly that, a dream. His idea of gardening was taking out everything I put in. Putting stones in the soil and soil in the stones. Mom picked him up on Friday night, and we got a lot done this weekend.

My vegetable gardens are completely planted. My “Harrison” garden is started. The zinnia patch has seeds in it, and many of my pots are planted.

What I’m Up to Next Week

Harrison is back on Monday for his final week with us before the nanny starts. My plan is to work on the blog. Hopefully finish my gardening.

I also want to get the outdoor area organized and cleaned up. We have numerous tools lying around. Some outdoor furniture is in the wrong spot. My greenhouse needs more attention. And finally, the front porch needs work.

What are you up to this week?

A toddler plays with the latest toy vehicles on a rustic coffee table in a cozy, covered patio. There’s a stone fireplace, cushioned seating, a checkered stool, and trees visible outside through large windows.

Good News I Want to Share

  • Pancreatic cancer is one of the most deadly diseases. A new drug has been shown to double life expectancy, and AI is being used to detect the disease earlier.
  • The yacht (Christine O) that was once home to Jackie Kennedy Onassis and her husband Aristotle is for sale. If you have $70,000,000 lying around, this might be the investment for you. 🙂
  • On June 4, “Mister Rogers’ Neighborhood” officially joined YouTube with clips, compilations, and five full-length episodes from the beloved children’s show. Those were the days!

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
