Latest From Living Large: Feeding Your Soul
When you have a chance to visit with good friends you don’t see often, jump on it. Every once in a while we need to recharge our batteries and feed our souls.
I’m lucky enough to be doing that this weekend. Two of my blogging besties are with me on a trip to Michigan to go to The Found Cottage Mercantile Market.

What’s Been Happening This Week
I spent the beginning of the week frantically crossing off all the things on my to-do list. One Wednesday, late afternoon, we had a fun reunion with the girls whose flights landed at O’Hare within minutes of each other. It was 98° and humid, so my vision of sitting outside and enjoying a September fire in the outdoor fireplace was dashed. We ate Lou Malnati’s pizza, had a glass of wine, and we all went to bed.
We drove the 3-1/2 hours to Holland, Michigan, on Thursday. We took the back roads along Lake Michigan and topped at some cute little vintage stores. We also had a yummy lunch at a restaurant right across from the lake alongside a marina filled with magnificent boats and yachts. Our Airbnb in Holland is so cute. Once we got settled, we headed to the Boatwerks in Holland for dinner. Another wonderful meal. We had a cocktail watching the boats on Lake Macatawa and then the sun setting from our table.
I’m writing this on Friday morning, and it’s pouring rain here, so we are going to head to Walmart and look for umbrellas and rain boots. By the time you read this, we will be heading home from our weekend getaway. I will update you next week and share all the goodies I purchased (or not).

What I’m Up to Next Week
On to the next thing for me next week. I’m having an al fresco dinner party for 14 in two weeks, so I need to start planning my menu, my table, and how everything is going to flow that day.
I also need to share with all of you my fall home tour. I’m loving the way that adding just a few touches has created a whole new look.

Good News I Want to Share
- I think this article about having friends in your golden years is so important and timely given the week I’m having.
- Recently, I was thinking about how we don’t see fireflies at night anymore, so I did a little investigating and found this great article.
- Here is my feel-good story of the week. It’s a quick read!

A peek into my life
Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections
I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.
It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.
It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
