Latest From Living Large: Big Project Week
Painting, wallpapering, sewing, organizing, and more! What a week. Thursday morning my whole body ached, and I wasn’t sure if it was from working in the garden or twisting myself into a pretzel to wallpaper inside a small linen closet.

What’s Been Happening This Week
I got out early in the morning to work in the garden before it got too hot in the beginning of the week. By the end of the week I couldn’t go outside because of the smoke from the Canadian wildfires. It smelled so bad, and the haze in the air is so thick. As I’m writing this, it’s still bad.
I had plenty of work inside to keep me busy. I finished one of my major projects, and I can’t wait to share it with you on Friday. I updated and reposted my college checklist post. While I am well past that stage, it’s that time of year for so many families, and it’s one of my most popular posts. I guess people want the wisdom of someone who’s been there/done that!
My Friday post was about planning for Christmas. Yes, you heard me right. I’m helping Annie with her Christmas this year, and when I went to Hobby Lobby this week, the Christmas decor was already out on the shelves. We need to start planning before everything is picked over.
While Christmas is out on the shelves, so are school supplies, and I love office/school supplies. Check out my favorite big girl school supplies at Target!
We celebrated Annie and Keith’s birthdays last weekend, and this weekend we are celebrating our 33rd anniversary! Time sure flies when you’re having fun. Last night we did what we love to do—met some friends at a Wisconsin Supper Club for a great meal.

What I’m Up to Next Week
I’m planning to finish up my other inside project this coming week. Once that’s done, I have to hit the garden hard. While my plants are doing great, the weeds are doing better, and I need to stay one step ahead of them.

Good News I Want to Share
- This is the cutest story that I’ve heard in a long time. A little 4-year-old in North Carolina brought his neighbors together out of his need for friends. A must-read!
- This study made me feel so much better about not only my coffee that I love but also having my glass of wine.
- I love these 10 habits to support your mental health. I especially love #5 and need to scale back on #6.

A peek into my life
Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections
I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.
It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.
It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
