Saturday Shopping with Me and My Friends #6

Welcome to Saturday Shopping at this Small House

It’s the third Saturday of the month and I’m shopping with my friends! I never know what they are going to share so it’s always a surprise for me. They also share things that end up in my cart too!

I’m going to guess that they might be doing what I’m doing. Last minute and stocking stuffers.

On my blog Living Large in A Small House, I may sometimes use affiliate links, which means a small commission is earned if you purchase via the link. The price will be the same whether you use the affiliate link or go directly to the vendor’s website using a non-affiliate link. You can find my full Disclosure Policy HERE

These are the things that I’m buying this week.

  • My kids and “Handy” still like to get candy for their stockings so I stocked up today with boxes of candy at Target
  • A new year is a time for a new calendar and a new planner
  • I wasn’t planning on buying Christmas Jammies because we weren’t going to be together but that all changed when our daughter and bonus son’s baby decided to make an early appearance. Everyone has Jammies on sale. There are these at Target and these at Soma.

What My Friends Are Loving

Cindy – Reinvented Delaware

A woman with short curly brown hair and glasses smiles, wearing a plaid shirt as if she's just finished shopping with friends. She has one hand touching her neck. The blurred background shows wooden chairs and the "reinvented delaware" logo in the corner.

This month I thought I would share some great gift ideas. These gifts are under $50, found on Amazon, and will be here before Christmas if you order SOON! Also, some have an extra coupon box! Look for the orange label that says ‘Coupon’ near the price and check the box next to it to add the coupon to available items. I’ve included some ideas for men, and women, and even a few for teens and kids!

Diane – South House Designs

A woman with short gray hair and glasses smiles outdoors, perhaps after shopping with friends. She wears a red jacket over a blue shirt, with blurred string lights and a city street in the background.

Diane here [South House Designs] and I’m all about rounding out the stocking stuffers for our kiddos who are all grown now so these ideas are mainly for the college-age and young professionals in our lives. Plus a few small treats for hostess gifts and a few special girlfriends.

  • What Star Wars fan wouldn’t get a kick out of lightsaber chopsticks? Yes, you read that right. And each pair has eight different color options. No more Chinese carryout ho hum!!!
  • Shower steamers all around — all genders, all ages! Who wouldn’t love relaxing aromatherapy, or perhaps rejuvenating, or maybe eucalyptus and mint for stuffy breathing relief?
  • Magnetic bookmarks are great for the book lover, the skimmer, or maybe the foodie.
  • A fun new game is always appreciated in game-loving families. We love this stacking game, this quick card game, and this wordsmith game!!!
  • For the music lover or fidgeter, how about some intriguing musical spoons? I know it may sound crazy, but check out this video.

I hope that you enjoyed shopping with me today!

If you made a purchase, please know that we all appreciate it as it helps in a small way to support our small house businesses.

Peace & Love,

A blue background with hand-drawn elements sets the stage. A heart symbol flanked by two lines adds charm, while the text "Lynn xoxo" in cursive whispers a promise to make food prep easier and more delightful.

WELCOME

Meet Me

After years in corporate America, I’ve channeled my interior design degree and passionate creativity into transforming our 1,300 square foot house into a cozy, inviting haven that proves beautiful living doesn’t require massive square footage.

My slight OCD tendencies fuel my love for organizing while my “Handy” husband helps bring my vintage-inspired decorating visions to life in our empty nest, where we entertain, garden, and cook from scratch.

Join me as I share practical wisdom, genuine humor, and professional insights for making the most of every square inch—because I’ve discovered that living large isn’t about the size of your home but how you fill it with style, function, and heart.

About the elderly woman: With long gray hair and glasses, she wears a white knit sweater and hoop earrings, her gentle smile radiates warmth against the plain light gray background.
