Saturday Shopping with Me – Cold and Flu Season

I know a lot of people who are sick with colds and flu.

Also many like me who have Covid. This is the second time I’ve gotten it. I’m up to date with all of my shots so it’s not horrible, just like a really bad cold. I feel like my head is in a cloud and I don’t feel like doing much so I’m staying close to my bed.

Cold and Flu Season

I made myself a little sick bed tray so that I could have everything close at hand. There were some things that I didn’t have so I ordered them for pick-up at Target and they handed it to “Handy” when he drove up to get it.

I filled a basket with a Kleenex box, the TV and fan controls, and then everything I needed to be comfortable; Pain relievers, nasal spray, hair ties, and clips., a few new magazines, lip balm, and cough drops.

The things I was really missing right away were a working thermometer, a long 10′ cord for my computer, and something for my chapped lips.

Kleenex Box Trick

Maybe I’m just late to the party but I didn’t start doing this until. a few years ago.

When my tissue box is empty I save it to put the used ones in. It’s full at about the same time the next box is empty. I then throw the box that’s full of used tissues away and put the new empty one in its place. It saves you from having the mess of used tissues everywhere and the clean-up and disposal are so much easier and I’m guessing a bit more hygienic.

Everything on my list below is from Target except for my silky soft tensile coverlet. It’s from Pottery Barn. Bedding is one luxury that I treat myself too. I’m in love with this buttery soft quilt and when you are sick, nothing beats wrapping yourself in something really cozy.

I’m going to keep this basket stocked and available because I’m sure Keith will be next!
