Saturday Shopping with Me and My Friends #7

Welcome to Saturday Shopping at this Small House

It’s the third Saturday of the month and I’m shopping with my friends! I never know what they are going to share so it’s always a surprise for me. They also share things that end up in my cart too!

While I do not do much decorating for Valentine’s Day, I found a few things that I might get to make the day special.

These are the things that I have in My Cart This Week

  • I found these fun heart ice cube trays at William Sonoma and thought that the heart alone or maybe a fruit-flavored heart ice cube could elevate any drink for Valentine’s Day.
  • This pink etched glassware has been something I’ve loved for some time now. How pretty would it be on a Valentine’s Day Tablescape?
  • While I’m not sure “Handy” would appreciate it, it might be fun to have a frilly romantic duvet for our bed. It would transition well into the spring and even the summer.
  • Another thing that can transition well from Valentine’s Day into spring is faux tulips. They make them so real-looking and they can be used longer than real.

What My Friends Are Loving

Cindy – Reinvented Delaware

Diane – South House Designs

New year, new beginning, new outlook. And as I am finishing tucking away all the holiday finery, I’m looking at our home with fresh eyes. And there are some specific spots that need (and deserve) some help!

  • Starting with the kitchen and dining area. With the whole clan here for almost a week, these two areas of our home put in their time providing great meals and a comfy setting for games, conversation, and more. I think they deserve some love starting with these gorgeous sleek canisters. that have stolen my heart. With these sweet scoops to go with the canisters.
  • To up the pantry organization a notch, I NEED these cord wranglers for sure.
  • And then for all-purpose serving and decor, I think this round, handled marble serving board would be on the constant reshuffle, serving nibbles, and then as a centerpiece tray, then as a backdrop against the backsplash. Can’t you see that centerpiece with a couple of these candle holders and this sweet faux potted plant and a charming handcrafted piece like this bowl?
  • I can’t forget table linens! Love these new chambray placemats for Spring’s arrival — great quality at a great price! I can’t go wrong with these white napkins (hemstitched and 20″). And how about “fun” napkins too.
  • And one more goodie I’ve been wanting — a brushed gold cocktail shaker!

I hope that you enjoyed shopping with us today!

If you made a purchase, please know that we all appreciate it as it helps in a small way to support our small businesses.

Peace & Love,

A blue background with hand-drawn elements sets the stage. A heart symbol flanked by two lines adds charm, while the text "Lynn xoxo" in cursive whispers a promise to make food prep easier and more delightful.

WELCOME

Meet Me

After years in corporate America, I’ve channeled my interior design degree and passionate creativity into transforming our 1,300 square foot house into a cozy, inviting haven that proves beautiful living doesn’t require massive square footage.

My slight OCD tendencies fuel my love for organizing while my “Handy” husband helps bring my vintage-inspired decorating visions to life in our empty nest, where we entertain, garden, and cook from scratch.

Join me as I share practical wisdom, genuine humor, and professional insights for making the most of every square inch—because I’ve discovered that living large isn’t about the size of your home but how you fill it with style, function, and heart.

About the elderly woman: With long gray hair and glasses, she wears a white knit sweater and hoop earrings, her gentle smile radiates warmth against the plain light gray background.
