Saturday Shopping at This Small House – Inside & Out

Welcome to another week of shopping

I’ve purchased some really random things this week. We are working in the yard, working in the house and basically getting all the spaces ready to host family and friends.

I’m going to be brutally honest with my reviews of what I’ve gotten!

This is a cute little lamp and I like it but it doesn’t have enough light for it to be a task light.

Inside the House

I bought two rechargeable light sources and one is definitely going back the other I might keep because it’s cute and I might be able to use it in another room that doesn’t really need functional light.

I bought under-cabinet lighting. What I have doesn’t work very well and I thought this might be a helpful source of additional light.

I followed all the instructions and charged it for 3-4 hours until the light turns green and then attached them under my cabinet. They are supposed to be motion sensored and for the first few hours, they worked pretty well. Now I have to put my hand up under the cabinet to get them to turn on and the charge maybe lasts one day.

No one here has time to recharge lights for 3-4 hours every day!

Voweek Cordless Vacuum Cleaner

I got this stick vac and I’m loving it. It’s so much easier to grab and pick up quick messes anywhere in the house. I especially like it to take upstairs and vacuum the newly painted wood floors. (by the way, they are still holding up beautifully)

UPDATE: I was really liking the stick vac that I bought a few weeks ago 🙁 Sadly, I’m returning it. It started to get clogged up all the time and then didn’t have any suction power. I will keep searching because I really like the convenience of a cordless stick vac.

mDesign Entryway Welcome Doormat

I’m also loving my new front doormat. It’s a natural fiber which I typically don’t like because they tend to shed but that doesn’t seem to be the case with this one. So far I’m loving it on my front porch.

Outdoor Purchases

Liquid Fence

If you’ve been around for a while you know that I’m in a constant battle with the deer. I visited a beautiful garden near my home recently and this product came highly recommended. I haven’t personally used it but I will keep you posted. Based on the garden that I saw, it just might be the answer to my problem.

WORKPRO Hori Hori Garden Knife

My sweet friend Jill came to help me weed my gardens last weekend and she was wielding one of these. Mine hasn’t come yet but I know I’m going to love it. Between the deer and the weeds, I think I’m set.

I hope that you enjoyed shopping with me today!

If you made a purchase, please know that I so appreciate it as it helps in a small way to support my small house business.
