Lynn’s Recollections and Reflections #38 – The Blog

Life After Work

When my corporate job was over, I knew exactly what I was going to do for the next part of my life!

I was going to follow my dreams!

The Early Blog

I started a blog back in the early 2000s but it was just a place where I wrote random thoughts and musings. Kind of like a journal.

At some point I upgraded to a paid domain with a name, I think it was in 2012. I actually spent more time trying to figure out how to be a blogger than actually blogging.

I would start and stop depending on what was going on in my life at the time or the level of frustration figuring out how to be a blogger.

Time on My Hands

Now I had all the time in the world on my hands and I wasn’t going anywhere because the world had basically shut down.

I have suffered from anxiety for most of my adult life so having something to keep me and my mind busy during those crazy times was a Godsend.

Another thing that was a sign was a course that popped up in my Facebook feed. KariAnne Wood from Thistlewood Farms was offering a Mastermind Class on how to “Grow Your Audience and Your Influence”. The cost was $10 to find out more.

I immediately signed up!

The Mastermind

I learned very quickly that I had absolutely no idea what I was doing once I joined the mastermind group. Luckily I was amongst friends! I had found my people. Women just like me who wanted to put their pen to paper (or fingers on the keyboard) and share with the world the things that made them happy.

While 2020 was a scary time, I was tucked away at home with my computer and in my little bubble, I was thriving.

Until next time!

Peace & Love,

WELCOME

Meet Me

After years in corporate America, I’ve channeled my interior design degree and passionate creativity into transforming our 1,300 square foot house into a cozy, inviting haven that proves beautiful living doesn’t require massive square footage.

My slight OCD tendencies fuel my love for organizing while my “Handy” husband helps bring my vintage-inspired decorating visions to life in our empty nest, where we entertain, garden, and cook from scratch.

Join me as I share practical wisdom, genuine humor, and professional insights for making the most of every square inch—because I’ve discovered that living large isn’t about the size of your home but how you fill it with style, function, and heart.

About the elderly woman: With long gray hair and glasses, she wears a white knit sweater and hoop earrings, her gentle smile radiates warmth against the plain light gray background.
