Latest From Living Large: Happy Memorial Day

On Monday we honor and grieve for all of those who gave their lives serving and defending our country.

I did not know that at 3:00 pm local time you should pause for exactly one minute of silent reflection. I will be doing that this year.

What’s Been Happening This Week

Every room in my house is finally clean! I had to take everything off every shelf and deep clean. The baseboards, molding, and windowsills had to be cleaned. All of my furniture was vacuumed or wiped down. All the cabinetry had to be washed. I washed all of my slipcovers, pillow covers, and throws. It feels so good to know that the mess of kids, chicks, and a flood are gone.

This week I also finished a project that I can’t wait to share with you on Friday. It was a smallish change with such a big impact.

Yesterday we spent all day in the yard. Power washing everything! Cleaning out my greenhouse, the outdoor living room, and the kitchen. What a mess. There is a white chalky film on everything, a lot of debris, and a line where the water went up to. It was a lot of work but the outside is just about back to normal now too!

The kids are here today. We plan to take the boat out and grill burgers! The weather is beautiful.

What I’m Up to Next Week

This week coming up, I will be editing my video of my latest project and writing some posts to share.

We haven’t started any of our gardening yet, so the plan early in the week is to at least get my vegetable garden planted.

I’ll be heading downtown on Thursday and Friday to watch Harrison while Mom and Dad are at work. Their nanny can’t start until June 10th, so I’ll be on duty until then. I’m not sure how much time we will actually spend in the city or if I will bring him back here so I can get my work done.

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
