What’s Been Happening This Week
I have all my Christmas Decor taken down and put away. Every year it seems to take me a little longer. It’s hard to imagine, but I’m not as young as I used to be.
We went to Iowa City early in the week to look at houses with my niece and her doctor husband. They are moving from the East Coast to Iowa, where he has accepted a job at the University of Iowa Hospital. We saw one house that was a 1990s time capsule. If they end up buying that home, I will hopefully be helping them with projects and taking you along for the ride.
Today I’m meeting my high school girlfriends for lunch. It’s crazy to think about how long we’ve known each other, and yet it seems like yesterday we were teenagers.
What I’m Up to Next Week
We are starting the week with a trip to our lawyer. The last time we had our will written, Emma wasn’t even born. It’s definitely time to update it. Not necessarily a fun thing to think about — but an absolute necessity.
The rest of the week will be all about cleaning and refreshing my home for a cozy winter. I’m ready to have a more minimal look to the house but add some cozy yet refreshing new touches to lighten up the house. As you can see from my collage above, I’m going to add green into my home for the rest of the winter and into spring.
