Latest From Living: Trying to Find Calm

I share a lot about my life with all of you and today is no different. However today I’m sharing all of me. I’m going to be more transparent and let you know what’s on my heart.

Lately I’ve been so scared and a bit mad! How in the world did we get here in a country so divided. It frightens me, troubles me, and makes me feel helpless. While I single-handedly can’t solve the problems of the world, I can do my part by trying to be kinder. My hope is that if everyone does their part, we have a chance to make a better world.

I also hope that I can create an escape for others by sharing my home and homemaking interests. I hope you find this a place to retreat and find inspiration.

What’s Been Happening This Week

This week was all about deep cleaning and resetting my home from the holidays to winter cozy! I’ve been making lists of areas that I need to declutter. My closet, dresser, pantry, our junk drawer, and one of the corner cabinets in my dining room. Would you like to see my progress?

What I’m Up to Next Week

This upcoming week, I will be very busy trying to get ahead on the blog as I’m heading to Dallas the first week of February. Our grand baby is getting his second set of tubes put in his ears and also getting his adenoids removed. Hopefully this will help with his chronic ear infections.

I also have my yearly physical with my primary doctor this week. A necessary evil to stay on top of my health. I try to think of it as self-care 🙂

I also need to get a jump on starting some of my seeds. As much as I would like to start in my greenhouse, I fear with the recent cold snap we are having that I have to start in the house and move to the greenhouse in a few months. I can’t keep the greenhouse much above freezing so it won’t be great for all of my seeds. Winter sowing is something that I’m going to try this year. I’ll keep you posted on how that goes.

A peek into my life

Lynn’s Recollections & Reflections

I have a little series that started out as a journal of sorts for my kids to have about my life. It became something more.

It’s a place where I share a very personal look into my life and believe it or not have helped some people get out of unhealthy situations.

It’s a work of fiction as it relates to others as it is my recollections of events. I hope you enjoy!
