Saturday Shopping – My Fall Capsule Wardrobe

Welcome to another week of shopping

When you live in a small house, you definitely can’t collect clothes or shoes. It’s not a problem for me because I’ve always kept my wardrobe pretty minimal. However, I’ve learned how to make purchases so that each piece can be worn with multiple things.

It’s called a capsule wardrobe!

With my 30-Day Cleaning & Organizing starting on Monday, I use this time to donate or throw the clothes that I no longer wear or that have seen better days.

I’ve been adding a few new pieces to replace the clothing that I will be parting ways with.

Fall Capsule Wardrobe

A collage shows a white turtleneck sweater, a cream cardigan, a blue jumpsuit, a green V-neck top, blue shorts and top set, and blue jeans labeled "Fall 2023 Capsule Wardrobe"—perfect finds for your next Saturday Shopping trip.

Kut Jeans

I love the Kut Jeans brand and now own two pairs. They fit me really well and look good with oversized tops. I got mine in my StitchFix Box that I get quarterly but you can also get that brand at Amazon.

Turtleneck Sweater

I have a black and a blue turtleneck sweater and I want to add a white or beige color sweater to my wardrobe. This one from Walmart is only $27. It looks so soft and comfy.

Turtleneck Long Sleeve Shirt

This soft luxe turtleneck shirt will be perfect under the new jumper. I can also pair it with jeans and sweater pants.

YESNO Women Casual Loose Long Bib Pants Wide Leg Jumpsuit

I wore these bibs (that I have in two colors) all summer long. They are comfortable for gardening, cleaning, sitting at my desk, etc., and they still look nice if I need to run an errand. I got bleach on my navy pair (my favorite) so I’ve ordered a new pair for the fall that I will pair with a long-sleeved turtle neck instead of a short-sleeved shirt.

Tanming Sweater Set

I’m sure that this sweater set is going to be my new best friend this fall. It is so soft and comfortable. The pants are long so they fit me to the ground. It’s like wearing your pajamas all day long but so much classier.

Acelina Pointelle Cardigan

I love to wear cardigans as I get cool in stores, restaurants, and even at home some days. This cardigan was in my latest StitchFix box and I love it. It drapes beautifully and has a little pleated accent in the back. It really classes up a pair of jeans and a shirt.

Lillian V Neck Blouse

This top was another surprise from my StitchFix Box. I love how the fabric drapes over the top of my jeans and hides my tummy. I can pair this with other slacks and wear the cardigan over it for cooler days.

I used to get Stitchfix all the time when I was working a full-time job but haven’t for a couple of years. I decided to give it another try and I love the convenience of having hand-picked outfits delivered to my door and I can decide what I want to keep and what I want to send back (free of charge). I’m scheduling my fixes for every three months but you can change that to whatever works for you and you can pause your fix at any time.

If you try it, let me know. I want to hear what you think about it.

I hope that you enjoyed shopping with me today!

If you made a purchase, please know that I so appreciate it as it helps in a small way to support my small house business.

Peace & Love,

A blue background with hand-drawn elements sets the stage. A heart symbol flanked by two lines adds charm, while the text "Lynn xoxo" in cursive whispers a promise to make food prep easier and more delightful.

  1. fun choices, I love seeing what other people wear, especially with comfort in mind. Love the bibs, but I’m short, so don’t work for me. Seems like I live in leggings.

    1. Hi Debra –

I love the bib and practically live in them. I’m not terribly tall and they are long at all.
