Classic Ham Salad

Chopped ham, celery, and hard-boiled eggs in a food processor bowl, ready to be mixed.

Classic Ham Salad

This is a great recipe to use when you have left over ham from a Sunday dinner. It's as good as a sandwich as it is as a dip with crackers.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ham, cut into pieces
  • 1 hard boiled egg, cut in half
  • 1 stalk celery, cutting into a few pieces
  • 1 tbsp sweet relish
  • 1/4 – 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tsp yellow mustard

Instructions

  • Add the ham, egg and celery to a food processor and pulse until blended together well, stopping occasionally to scrape down the sides with a spatula.
  • In a mixing bowl combine the mayo, relish, and mustard. Then add the ham mixture and mix well. You can add salt and pepper to taste but I find that ham has enough salt.
  • I make the day ahead as I think it's better once all the flavors meld.
