Saturday Shopping with Me: Starting Plants from Seeds

For the last three years, I’ve been starting many of my plants from seed. It not only provides me with my own organically grown plants but it also a way to add some great plants to my garden at a fraction of the price.

Last year I did a whole flat of foxglove and another of lavender. I put them in the ground in the spring and they were looking really good by fall. I’m anxious to see how they did over the winter. Since foxglove’s are a bi-annual in my Zone 5b location, I’m going to grow another flat so I have more to plant this year. I’m hoping it will give me the fresh blooms every year (fingers crossed).

Starting Plants from Seeds

I’ve moved my seed station upstairs to my craft/guest bedroom and I’m loving it there because it’s not taking up space in my office. I thought it would be a problem with me forgetting to water it but I actually walk in and check on the plants each morning and then again each night before I go to bed.

Here are the things that I use for growing my plants.

Peace & Love,
