Fabulous Friday Link Party 6.10.22

I am so excited to be able to be part of this fun link party. The links that everyone is sharing are so amazing!

What’s Been Happening at This Small House

Spring gardens are beautiful! The are the filled with so much wonder and anticipation. My peonies are in the middle of their magnificence. We had some rain so the peonies that had bloomed are all wilted. I however have some that are just starting to open.

I’m actually cutting the buds as they start, wrapping them in paper towel and putting them in the refrigerator. I’ve hear it keeps them for up to a month??? I hope this works out because it means I can have some peonies for the upcoming Wedding #2 – The Party. Fifteen more days – actually 13 more days until folks start coming into town!

Welcome Friends!

  1. Hi Lynn, always a pleasure to visit your site and see what you are doing as well as other bloggers. Appreciate the feature for “Crystal Finds”. I have a hard time passing up a beautiful crystal glass. LOL.

    1. I am a bit of a crystal freak myself. I have a lot of Waterford and when Annie got married in our backyard, I started collecting Fostoria for the tables. I’m obsessed!

  2. Lynn your peonies are gorgeous! Thanks for the tip about the refrigerator – I wonder if it works with roses too? That would be great if so, because we have a ton of roses that get ruined in the rain out here. And thanks as always for hosting this great party – a lovely way to start my weekend! 🙂 Take care!

    1. I don’t know about roses but it would be worth trying. The florists all have them refrigerated. My guess is it would keep them longer than usual. Thanks for posting to our party!

  3. Hi Lynn! I feel the same way I wish my peonies lasted longer! I have heard that cutting them when they’re marshmallowy and putting them in the fridge helps like you say! I can’t wait to see the details from your party!

    1. I can’t wait to find out if that trick works too! What a game-changer since they all bloom at the same time. It will allow me to spread them out.

  4. Thank you for hosting another fabulous party!

  5. Thank you so much, Lynn, for hosting and for featuring my patriotic door basket. I’m so glad you all love it as much as I do. Happy weekend!

    1. It’s my month to pick and I loved your basket! Thanks so much for sharing.
