Saturday Shopping with Me – Scents for Fall

Our scents of smell are something that evokes all kinds of feelings. During the fall and winter, I like to create a cozy feel with the use of scents in my home.

If you like me aren’t a huge fan of the “typical” fall scents, you are going to enjoy this post.

A white candle in a glass holder sits on a small white saucer. The candle and saucer are placed on a wooden surface. In the background, there is a white ceramic hen and a white pumpkin decoration, reminiscent of finds from Saturday shopping trips. The scene has a light and cozy aesthetic.

Clean and Cozy Smells

Candles

I enjoy light and cozy scents in my home. For fall I like candles that include citrus, floral, herbs, and wood scents. Some of my specific favorites are lavender, lemon, rosemary, eucalyptus, and geranium.

Diffuser

I run a diffuser in my home almost daily. Right now I’m using lemon, breathe, peppermint, lavender, and rosemary (5 drops each) in about 2 cups of water. My allergies are crazy in the fall and this combination helps me to be less stuffy.

Linen Scents

I change my bed sheets every week. The combination of adding a bit of French Market detergent by Taylor Candle Co with my free and clear detergent; using my method for creating the crispest sheets every; and spraying my side of the bed with Lavender Linen Spray sets me up for a great night sleep.
