How I Keep My House Clean All Year Long

By living large in a small house

CLEANING | ORGANIZING

Ditch the cleaning overwhelm! In this quick guide, we'll create a simple year-round cleaning schedule that keeps your home sparkling without feeling like a chore.

My cleaning routine starts each day with me making my bed.  It sets the tone for how I want my day to be.

A cleaning schedule helps you stay on top of things. No more weekend cleaning marathons or scrambling before guests arrive. Plus, a clean home can improve your mood and well-being.

Think of cleaning in layers. We'll tackle seasonal deep cleans, establish a monthly routine for refreshing, and set up a weekly cleaning plan for staying on top of things. I'll keep you on track with my FREE Printables.

Dedicate a day each season for a deep clean. Spring is for freshening up after winter. Summer is for tackling outdoor spaces and decluttering. Fall is for carpets and upholstery. Winter lets you focus on those hard-to-reach areas.

Schedule monthly tasks to keep your home feeling clean in between deep cleans. This includes disinfecting high-touch surfaces weekly, dusting furniture and shelves monthly, and mopping floors depending on your needs. Wipe down appliances like the stove or microwave monthly too.
