I started “Living Large in A Small House” blog back in 2012 (LV60010.blogspot.com) but I had no idea what I was doing so I stopped and did a little research. It seemed that having your own domain name was the better route to go and so I did. I had a domain name and I started using WordPress.org. I then came to a screeching halt as it was way too complicated to navigate.
Below you will see some of my earlier attempts at blogging. I didn’t have enough time to learn as much as I needed so I just stopped and left it alone.
I recently decided to hire someone to design my blog and take some of the burden of figuring things out, off of me. My new site is beautiful thanks to Erica S. @ Designerblogs.com. I still however need to figure out how to use WordPress! I’m off for six weeks this summer so let the lessons begin. I’m hoping in a few weeks to be up and blogging on a regular basis. Bear with me and until then enjoy our urban farm pictures.
We’ve updated the gardens to include some raised beds. Much easier for me to weed – I’m not getting any younger. We have also added a greenhouse which I’m thoroughly enjoying. I call it my “Mom Cave”.
UPDATE: February 20, 2017
I’m going back and making my content and text better on some of my earlier posts. I have to share with you that I’m still trying to figure out the whole blogging thing. It’s one year and 8 months since this was originally posted. I spent money on the design way before I should have. If you want to blog you need to figure out the basics first and then spend the money for a design. I’m probably going to have mine redone at some point because it just doesn’t work for me the way I would like it too! Another tip! Don’t spend money buying “How To’s” from other bloggers. You can learn everything you need to know by watching YouTube video’s. It’s my go-to whenever I have a problem.
